- Today we hugged Chris for the last time and said goodbye as he went to give four people the gift of life by donating his kidneys, liver and lungs. We are deeply broken and deeply proud. In life and in death, Chris never stopped giving. We walk forward with his light guiding us.
- We got our Christmas miracle. After two weeks in hospital and two times on life support, Chris is home. ❤️
- Tests yesterday confirmed that Chris will not wake up. In life, Chris offered his body to a clinical trial to help others. In death he will do the same. He remains on life support while organ donation is arranged. We are so proud of him.
- Chris is off the ventilator and breathing on his own!!! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

- Today I turn 40. Chris had planned a big party for me. He was so excited, telling me, “I can’t wait to celebrate you the way you deserve to be celebrated.” Today I woke up to a world without him. Then I found these & remembered he left me so much evidence of his love.
- Yesterday Chris was admitted to hospital. He was doing great when kids & I left at 8 pm. Overnight he took a turn for the worse and had to be put on a ventilator. Now we wait to see if he will get better. We are very sad and very scared. Hug your people. Life is so tenuous.
- 5 yrs ago today I had a moderate stroke from a vertebral artery tear caused by a chiropractic neck adjustment. After 6 days in hospital, I couldn’t drive for a month and needed a walker and cane. I’m grateful each day for my recovery. Don’t let anyone touch your neck friends. ❤️
- Merry Christmas. If you have your people with you this year, be so grateful. Life is so fragile.
- Today I told the kids that Dad went back on the ventilator. We cried & talked thru questions & then got in the car for school. I said, “Oh, look how beautiful the sky is.” And then, maybe for them, definitely for myself, I added, “The world is still beautiful even when it’s sad.”
