hurricane katrina was a radicalizing moment for me-seeing people left to die-painting help on the roofs while the helis whizzed past. people getting food were shot by the same mercenaries hired in iraq-katrina woke me up-that could be me on that roof-they will leave us all behind

I was arrested with Van at a Rodney King March. His bio says he was inspired to become a civil rights attorney after speaking with another prisoner while held for 14 hours. I was that other prisoner. I guess 14 hours wasn't enough.

I emailed a PDF of this letter that I made to all the Food Not Bombs buses and trucks so they could pass through the military checkpoints and it worked for every vehicle
