- Prominent Big 12 source tells the American-Statesman the Texas-OU move to the SEC is almost done. "They've been working on this for a minimum of 6 months, and the A&M leadership was left out of discussions and wasn't told about it." Move could become official in a week.
- Xavier Worthy's lawyers say he asked the complainant "multiple times" to vacate the residence and said she "destroyed a room, scratched Worthy's face and ripped out" some of his hair. They add there is photographic evidence supporting Worthy.
- I really think when Iowa State surpassed Texas as the clear No. 2 team in Big 12 football, that was the final straw Horns had to do something. (Guess it didn't occur to them maybe they should put a better product on the field.)
- I know Oklahoma owns the Big 12 in football, but it just seems that Texas Tech is running things right now.
- Texas basketball coach Chris Beard has been fired, the Statesman has learned.
