Deanonymization of the Dero Network gist.github.com/kayabaNerve/b7… TL;DR An insecure message encryption protocol enables breaking message, amount, receiver, and sender (on wallets with a recent patch) privacy, even if the sender doesn't explicitly specify a message.

The implementation of Generalized Bulletproofs I did for Monero has been audited! github.com/cypherstack/ge… > Overall, we find that the implementation is well written and appears suitable for its intended purpose. One step closer to the entire set of FCMP++ libs being audited.

@THORChain removed their bug bounty program, which received multiple reports of critical severity, from @immunefi in favor of a self-hosted solution. I believe this was done as part of ghosting me and my critical severity submission after Immunefi ruled I should be paid ~270k USD

    Replying to @OrangeFren
A 6 re-org does not mean a '51% attack' was successful. In that case, we'd see unbounded-depth re-orgs/no blocks mined by any other mining pool (assuming the adversary censors other mining pools, as this one does). It does mean an adversary with a high amount of hash got lucky.

As I said at Monerotopia, I planned to have my work on the FCMP++ libraries done at the end of the month. repo.getmonero.org/monero-project… With that, I am announcing I am stepping back from work on Monero. gist.github.com/kayabaNerve/e5… I will continue to work on Serai.

I'm proud to have done this work! The implementation was done a couple years ago at the start of Serai and it's finally proven secure! Happy it's moving forward.

Our Monero multisig protocol was proven secure! FROSTLASS is a FROST-inspired protocol applying its techniques to Monero's CLSAG. It achieves constant per-participant upload, linear computation, and identifiable aborts, enabling large-scale decentralized threshold multisigs.

After ~4 years of development, THORChain has created the latest iteration of their proposal to integrate Monero. It includes: - Rebuilding everything from scratch - Deploying to a testnet - Funding dev on a non-FOSS wallet Not included: - Any info on how it would work - Mainnet

My CCS to develop FCMP++s (Full-chain Membership Proofs for the current RingCT protocol) was merged! :D ccs.getmonero.org/proposals/fcmp… I'm very hopeful the corollary CCS for the various audits also gets merged soon.

There's a mining pool making a ton of noise by threatening the decentralization of Monero (claiming they'll gain 51% of hash power and effectively soft fork to be the sole mining pool allowed) and ugh. It's disgusting and tiresome.

An anonymous developer, Tay, has found the output commitments (hiding the amounts) for the invalid BP+s invalid present on the Zephyr blockchain. For each of the three TXs, the difference is 16 million $ZEPH. The official supply is ~6.4 million.

I made a meta-issue to discuss ways to change Monero to improve its resistance to bad actors. Included are both hard forks *and* less-invasive soft forks which would ideally improve Monero. If you have legitimate, novel ideas, I'll be happy to incorporate them. Link vvv

I don't like posts that go "Here's 10 reasons why MYBAGS is going to revolutionize cryptocurrency and also solve world hunger" Even when there's something interesting happen, I don't like the exaggerated language. I'm also wondering if we're in a Monero Renaissance.
