With heavy hearts Kamloops Fire Rescue members gave Captain Brian Lannon his ride home today. He was saluted to for his 27 years of dedication and professionalism, protecting the citizens of Kamloops.

- Here @kamfire we have some days where doing our job is tough. Yesterday was one of those days. Our crews have the families of those lost and injured in a tragic accident in our hearts.
- Firefighter Jarod Bulk has put together an amazing initiative that will be put in place in all our trail networks throughout Kamloops. Identifiers for injured or lost users allows them to let our team know where they are located for quick rescue. Even if you ride an E-bike!
- KFR, together with family and friends, is mourning the loss of our brother, Captain Brian Lannon. On Saturday, May 15th, Brian was in Kelowna on his off-duty time, recreationally SCUBA diving with friends near the W.R. Bennett bridge... 1/4

- Lithium batteries are becoming a common household item. E-Bikes, tools, and motorized toys all have them; make sure you are looking after yours properly. This fire was started in a shed being used to charge and store several Lithium batteries...1/
00:00 - Today marks the last day of Chief Robinson's time with @kamloopsfirerescue, and in the Fire Service. After 30 years, and 5+ with KFR it's time to hang up the white helmet for good. An invaluable leader and a man of many hats, Steve will be truly missed. Congrats Chief!
00:00- In firefighting we use the term 'Flashover' to describe the near-simultaneous ignition of most of the directly exposed combustible material in an enclosed area. A recent fire in the downtown core of Kamloops was a perfect example.

00:00 - Last week our Valleyview Engine Crew responded to Columbia St in front of the Denny's for a duckling rescue. A caller reported that a couple of little duckies had fallen into the storm drain. The crew arrived on scene and managed to get the grate opened. They then successfully

- You brought inspiration and joy to our country! RIP Capt. Jennifer Casey. Our best wishes are with Capt. MacDougall and his family for a quick recovery. Our thoughts are with the Snowbirds crew members. We stand with all of Canada as we mourn this loss.
- There are going to be some fresh new faces around KFR next week! Ten brand-new Recruit Firefighters start their careers with us on Monday morning, beginning several weeks of training with our Training Officers. Once they've passed that, they'll be assigned to crews.
