πŸ₯Ή I’m at a loss for words but we are so incredibly thankful, appreciative, relieved, and happy that Bunsen pulled through. Thank you everyone for your thoughts, prayers, hope, and well wishes. He’s resting comfortably and we are looking forward to seeing him soon. πŸ’•
Great news! No, amazing news and happy tears! The vet team removed the mass completely and Bunsen survived. A smaller dog, a weaker dog may not have made it. Bunsen did. They've never seen anything like the fluid sac before, but Bunsen is resting comfortably and healing.

Hi all. So not the best news. What presented as bloat turned out to not be bloat. It had all the symptoms of bloat but as the vet team went through different diagnostic tests, each test came back negative. The ultrasound presented a fluid filled something in Bunsen’s abdomen

Please know that we really appreciate all of your kind words. We are reading all your replies and apologize if we can’t get to comment on all of them right away. Visiting Bunsen tonight was so important to us and I’m grateful we were able to be there to support him.
Thank you everyone for being so kind to us. It’s been a day. We got to see Bunsen tonight for 45 minutes and hug him, pet him, and tell him we love him. He is as strong as any dog can be heading into surgery and we have hope for tomorrow.

I’m so happy right now! πŸ€— Bunsen is chewing on his right side which he wasn’t doing and it led to his face atrophy. His abnormal internal growth is gone and he’s doing a good job of growing his face back. Well done, Puppy Puppy! You can see his dented in head on the picture.
