Definitely a lot of economic complaining in the Biden era that was in this specific genre of posts:

- The Donald Trump that conservatives voted for is an entirely fictitious person they invented in their minds.
- This is a deadly serious question that White House officials should be asked about every single day.
- NYC is really really REALLY lucky city planners in between the Civil War and WWII massively overbuilt the city, planning for the century ahead. Today we don't plan for the future anymore. We create an overly idealized version of the past in our minds and fight any change to it.When nyc built the 7 train, like 75% of it was literally just through cornfields!
- Of course, Bush went after Social Security in 2005 and Democrats stopped him. And that's almost the problem. For most of our lives, Democrats have been so successful at stopping the true goals of Republicans, voters decided they had the luxury of ignoring the very real warnings.Literally “Republicans will cut Social Security and Medicare” has been like their #1 message since 2010. Eventually everyone tuned it out because Republicans never cut Social Security and Medicare. Voters in my community have a name for this message “Mediscare”
- This goes back to something made obvious over the past 6 months... the average American has spent almost no time thinking about the systems and people who make the American lifestyle possible.
- Replying to @querdcastSo sorry for your loss. My husband is trans. I fear for him in every medical encounter he has to be in, and every time he needs to use a bathroom in unfriendly states. It shouldn't have to be that way.
- Replying to @alitlstrawberryI think it’s fascinating that people with mental illness go to a therapist to give them a guidance on how to live a more balanced life. And then they get that honest guidance, and then decide it’s their therapist that’s the problem, not them. Sad actually.
- Cannot express enough how much of a big reason many liberals soured on the 🍉 movement was because the most visible signs of their activism was just run of the mill anarchist shit like this.Parking meters on Sunset Blvd are out of commission in protest of money being used to fund the genocide of Palestinians.Readers added contextIncome from parking meters in LA goes toward local government spending such as, "painting and marking of streets and curbs required for the parking". Only after 5 different tiers of local spending can that money be used for general government spending. codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/los_ange…
- As I walked through Prospect Park earlier this afternoon, I remembered the fight over banning cars from it. The detractors made the usual apocalyptic predictions. Today, no one remembers (or misses!) the cars. They just know they’re enjoying this space. The outrage dies quick.
- Who are these imaginary hoards of waitresses and nurses who are commuting by car into the Manhattan central business district every day from outside the city? The amount of people such anecdotal outliers apply to could fit in one room. The disingenuousness here is exhausting. If you’re say a nurse or waitress, get off work after midnight in Manhattan and there are no more trains or busses to your home town - how do you commute to work? Oh yes, you drive. Sorry you just got a $2,000 a year salary deduction, losers! Congestion pricing for the win!
- It’s all unbelievable in hindsight. The architects of Trump’s second term literally wrote out all of their evil plans, published in a document. They literally called it Project 2025. All in the open. And most of the media shrugged, called Dems crazy for acknowledging it.The most infuriating thing about what's happening right now is that like 99% of it was entirely predictable either b/c Trump said it openly, it was in Project 2025 or leading Dems said it would happen but the media ignored all of it b/c they wanted Trump back in office.
- Not sure what the Democratic messaging is that’s supposed to convince, say, a solar industry worker not to vote for the “I will kill solar” guy
- Replying to @BorisEPOh wow Donald Trump finally did the thing that Biden and most Americans have been doing for months, but not before 130,000+ deaths and not without making NOT wearing a mask a culture war fight for his deranged base. Take THAT, Biden!
