    I learned how to do CPR today so now I know how to save your life but more importantly I found out New York Presbyterian Hospital maintains a Spotify playlist of songs that are the right beat to time CPR compressions to and it is on point

    Got an email last night from a reader in her 60s criticizing my reporting on Cuomo because, she said, in her day, working women learned to either put up with sexual harassment or leave. "Work in a man’s world, learn to deal with it, or walk away," she said. It made me so sad.

    there are just no fucking words that capture the horror and insanity of more than a dozen children being shot to death in their elementary school. especially when it’s not the first time it’s happened. especially when you know nothing will change as a result.
