- Replying to @BaddielMy sons’ school drama evening - monologues - is cancelled. Can’t deny I punched the air in glee.
- Phew. What a week! Offers on 7 books in the last 3 days. 😊😊
- Life seems to revolve round soft play centres, sourcing school play costumes and ferrying them around endlessly until suddenly, and just like that, it doesn’t.
- I started work at DK a whopping 28 years ago today and to celebrate here’s a picture of me at my desk around that time in a fetching shiny orange shirt (I had one in purple too!) with not a book in sight.
- When you walk 15 mins to the station in your Ascot finery and a lady comes up to you on the platform and whispers ‘your dress’. You are all set to take the compliments … and then she tells you it’s tucked in your pants 😱
- As a surprise for my dad’s 80th, I’ve edited his memoirs and a book made. He loved it! I couldn’t have done it without the help of wonderful @slhilderley and the ever-patient Nick and the team @IngramSpark
- I’m on my way back from a funeral so already on the heightened emotional spectrum and then I see a small boy( 4-5 I’d guess ) holding hands with his mum. His name boldly on show on his backpack - Otto Puddle. Please someone put him in a book.
- I’ve just won a holiday in a competition I entered!!!! St Ives here we come.
- My 10-yr-old just said,’I love the library.It’s my favourite place.I don’t know about u but I think books are the solution to everything.’❤️
