Today we release in @biorxivpreprint a pair of related methods, DNA Ticker Tape & ENGRAM, for multiplex, temporally ordered genomic recording of cell lineage histories, enhancer & signal transduction activities, respectively led by the brilliant @_Choi_Junhong & @wchenomics 1/25

Excited to share our lab's latest preprint, led by @CXchengxiangQIU, @bethkarenmartin & Ian Welsh of @jacksonlab. We set out to build a single cell roadmap for all of mouse prenatal development, from single cell zygote to free-living pup. Preprint: tinyurl.com/2nhe4mm9 1/n

Our latest out today in @Nature. We profiled 12 million single cells from mouse embryos spanning gastrulation to birth, defined cell type tree from zygote to birth, and unexpectedly found crazy fast changes within first hour of extrauterine life. OA PDF: rdcu.be/dyDAg

Fantastically optimized and detailed single cell-RNA-seq protocol (variant of sci-RNA-seq3) developed by @bethkarenmartin, out in @NatureProtocols today, less than 1 cent per cell. tinyurl.com/34a9e8tp

Our latest preprint, from the brilliant @CXchengxiangQIU, systematically integrates a series of single cell RNA-seq datasets that collectively span mouse gastrulation and organogenesis (E3.5 – E13.5) (1/4)

This is a brilliant idea and proof-of-concept from @NadavAhituv lab. "Browning" the fat in the vicinity of a tumor (via CRISPRa) suppresses cancer progression as the brown fat competes with the tumor for nutrients. Preprint: tinyurl.com/m4d5ccbs
Tumors need a lot of nutrients to grow. By engineering and implanting fat cells to outcompete cancers for nutrients we can suppress them. Novel cancer therapy called Adipose Manipulation Transplantation (AMT). AMAZING work by Hai Nguyen and others! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Our lab's latest protocol, more brilliant work from @bethkarenmartin & @CXchengxiangQIU We can't send to @biorxivpreprint b/c they desk-reject all protocols ;) Onwards to @eLife where I predict @mbeisen's assessment will be "delicious" Non-paywalled PDF: tinyurl.com/3zsyabpp

Very proud of Waddington's Waterslide, drawn by my 13 y/o daughter (for $5) as the original sketch for a @NatureNV with @CXchengxiangQIU on a terrific new paper from the Steltzer and Tanay groups at @WeizmannScience. go.nature.com/3eM8C9J

Congratulations to Dr. @SRsrivatsan on a brilliant (and successful) thesis defense!! (@coletrapnell @uwgenome @UW_MSTP)

Happy to be a part of what is apparently Prime Editing day :). Our latest, PRIME-DEL, conceived and reduced to practice by @_Choi_Junhong and @wchenomics, leverages paired prime editing guide RNAs to essentially 'program' precise genomic deletions. 1/4 nature.com/articles/s4158…

Our latest! Philosophical and practical arguments for a tree-based nomenclature for defining, naming, and organizing cell types (a "consensus ontogeny"), from Silvia Domcke (@sdomcke) and me. authors.elsevier.com/a/1glnfL7PXmbl-

Finally out in @naturemethods from the brilliant @jb_lalanne & @SRegalad0, our highly quantitive single cell MPRA (scQer), applied to mammalian embryoids to find autonomous enhancers. Bonus = Tornado circular barcodes that are all kinds of useful. OA link: rdcu.be/dHqo1

Short thread on our latest work, from the incredible @CXchengxiangQIU (CX Qiu), entitled "Systematic reconstruction of cellular trajectories across mouse embryogenesis", which is out today in @NatureGenet. Link to accessible version: 1/n rdcu.be/cIWq2
