    I’m a Christian. I’m a pastor. And I’m voting for @VP.

One thing is abundantly clear today: Far too many Christians in the United States don’t have the slightest clue what loving their neighbor practically looks like.

By “pull something like this” he’s referring to preaching the Gospel of Jesus. Many Christians have never heard it or embraced it and it shows.
This woman should never step foot in the National Cathedral again — in any capacity. The audacity to pull something like this…

The more I read the New Testament the more convinced I am that one of our biggest errors has been reading Jesus through the lens of Paul, instead of reading Paul through the lens of Jesus. It’s a game changer.

I wonder what the Court would do if businesses started refusing to serve conservative Christians due to their religious beliefs?

    Replying to @SenMcConnell
And I will vote no when you run for reelection in 2020.

I no longer believe in hell as an afterlife destination, but I understand why some people do. What I don’t understand are the Christians who seem to *want* it to be real, who need others to lose so they can feel like they’ve won, and celebrate it.

    I’m a Christian and I’m against Christian nationalism. It’s an anti-Christ ideology.

God did not need nor plan Jesus’s death. The cross isn’t about divine wrath; the cross is about human wrath and how the divine meets it with love.

You know why straight, white males are so angry at @AOC? Because she’s not afraid of them. Because she has a better, more equitable vision for the world. Because she doesn’t take her cues and make her decisions based on pleasing them. She’s the kind of leader we need in Congress.

There’s a myth that there’s a thing called “historic Christianity” that is a codified set of beliefs that every Christian has always shared. Never existed.

What if Jesus wasn’t telling us “How to go to heaven,” but inviting us to participate in bringing the justice of heaven to the earth?

Nashville pastor here. I condemn this action, the ideology behind it, and the politics in the state of Tennessee that are inspiring and empowering it. Nazism, nationalism, and every bias and bigotry are anti-human, anti-Christ, and must be rejected without qualification.

Taking the Bible literally doesn’t mean you’re taking it seriously. And Taking the Bible seriously doesn’t mean you’re taking it literally.
