- the arc of a smart vc who starts writing good content, gets recognized, drinks his own cool aid, and then starts retweeting his followers' praise of him....is so painful to watch over and over and over again.
- the more successful a VC is, the more secure they are admitting that its mostly "people bets" that drive their investment decisions...market processes any of their new investments as validation of a space/model, but often it's just someone great they wanted to be in biz with.

- Fall in NYC: by far my fav season. Hustle in the air, peeps done taking a break, back at whatever they came here to accomplish (& everyone came here to accomplish something). U can see their essence and your own from a w sq park bench...crisp air...no higher plane of existence.
- crypto is filled with folks trying so hard to look smart. i think this insecurity comes from denial that luck is the primary reason most people, even smart ones, got rich in the space. Everyone is desperately trying to convince themselves & others that they got rich via intellect
