    If Saurabh Netravalkar, who had figures of 2-18 and bowled USA to victory in the super over vs Pakistan, wasn't disgustingly talented enough -- ( He is an engineer at Oracle and an MS in CS from Cornell University.) he's also a damn fine ukelele player. (video from his insta)

    A week back Tejaswin Shankar was practising in front of 3 dogs at JLN Stadium, after not being named to the CWG squad despite meeting the AFI QF standard. Included at the last minute after taking the fed to court, today in front of 30000, he wins a high jump bronze in Birmingham.

    A very sweet Hungarian lady (who spoke excellent Hindi btw) wanted a Neeraj Chopra autograph. Neeraj said sure but then realised she meant on the ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ flag. 'Waha nahi sign kar sakta' Neeraj tells her. Eventually he signed her shirt sleeve. She was pretty happy all the same.

    Nikhat Zareen. Put some respect on the name. The 26-year-old adds CWG ๐Ÿฅ‡ to her World ๐Ÿฅ‡. She beats Ireland's Carly McNaul by a wide 5-0 UD in the final of the women's 50kg division. She won every bout in Birmingham by the same margin. Nikhat made becoming CWG champion look easy.

    At 18, Avinash Sable served as a jawan of 5 Mahar on the Siachen glacier. Now 27, the man from Beed is doing ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ proud on the track. He wins๐Ÿฅˆin the men's 3000m steeplechase at the CWG with a NR of 8.11.20. It's India's first medal in the event and the 9th time he's broken the NR

    During the COVID-19 lockdown 24-year old Ram Baboo dug ditches under MNREGA. Previously he'd worked as a waiter. But he never lost sight of his goal - to be an athlete. Today he won Asian Games๐Ÿฅ‰ in the 35km race walk mixed team that allowed ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ to equal it's best ever Asiad tally

    2014 ๐Ÿฅ‡ 2018 ๐Ÿฅ‡ 2022 ๐Ÿฅ‡ Vinesh Phogat is the first Indian woman wrestler to win three consecutive gold medals at the CWG. She didn't drop a point in three matches in the women's 53kg category at Birmingham and pinned the silver medallist. As dominant as it gets.
