Really disappointing to see umpires being followed to their car after a High School playoff baseball game. A reality check for fans- you do not have any right to harass, follow or confront umpires after a game is over for any reason. This has to stop

If you are arguing or yelling at an umpire in an 8u baseball game, there is legitimately something wrong with you. As a baseball community, can we agree to end this absurdity?

Iโ€™m sorry. This is an absolute disgrace

Had a great meeting today with some members of the Philadelphia School District. We are going to make officiating/umpiring an elective high school course. Inner city HS students will develop leadership skills as an umpire while making good money doing something they love. Win-Win

We received a complaint about one of our umpire crews being too young this week. They said the umpires did a great job but were too young. Want to help solve the umpiring shortage in this country? Start with changing the narrative that an umpire has to be 60+ years old

I am the most positive person youโ€™ll find about amateur umpiring. Emails like this are brutal to read. An umpire who went through 15 hours of training, purchased equipment+uniforms has quit after one weekend because of harassment by parents and coaches. This is a societal problem

If you are coaching 8u baseball and get ejected from a game, you should really take a look in the mirror. Not only is it ridiculous to behave like that in front of 8 year olds, but this behavior is destroying the experience for a most likely new umpire. Shameful

A brutal day for the TSEUA as we lost a great umpire and a better man today. @MarkKeegan3 was an amazing ambassador for umpiring and for the game of baseball. His passion for his craft was infectious. New Jersey umpiring lost a giant

I am happy to announce that I have accepted a full time position with @PerfectGameUSA in their umpiring department. Super excited that I can continue to help make umpires better all over the Region and be an advocate for umpires everywhere with this platform.

With a nationwide officiating shortage, no one with an interest in umpiring is too young. Here are 13 year olds Ben Wilkerson and Jeffrey Boyd at their first night of umpire training. These young men will be part of the solution.

I'm always in disbelief when an ejection report from an 8u game hits my inbox. How much of a moron do you have to be to get ejected for arguing balls and strikes in an 8 year old baseball game?

Our umpire development program has led to father son umpire crews like this one. Chris Harris and Chris Harris Jr. looking sharp before their little league assignment. This is what the umpiring shortage solution looks like

At a time when it is commonplace to see Freshman, JV and even Varsity baseball games with only one umpire in New Jersey, we have supplied two umpires for 100% of all assignments from Varsity, JV, Freshman and Middle School Baseball. A true team effort to get that accomplished.

A new low has been reached- Ejections in a coach pitch tournament game. Imagine the lack of self control needed to be ejected from a game where the coaches are the ones pitching to the hitters.
