To all the high schoolers so worried about making money — don’t miss out on high school. Adulting is tough. And endless. So unless it’s the only way you eat, relax. Play in that tournament. Go out for that sport. Be a kid.

Schools are closed. Education will continue in some manner going forward. You know who I'm worried about? The kids who don't have wifi, the kids in abusive homes, the homeless kids, the kids who only can eat at school, the kids with IEPs who need the hands-on help of teachers.

Fenty forced makeup companies to do the same. After Fenty's foundation hit stores like Ulta, suddenly everyone else had to have foundations that had more varied shades. Fenty forced inclusivity that should have already been there.

A message to Wichita’s senior athletes in fall sports: I’m sorry. I’m sorry that your hopes of a title, your dreams of a college scholarship, your plans to play with your family are over.

After 20 years of covering high school sports at @kansasdotcom and @VarsityKansas, I'm going to be the Derby High journalism teacher.

I was hugged by a basketball mom today. Want to know why? She appreciates what I do for VYPE. And that's simply for online coverage. People WANT high schools to be covered.

On Wednesday, Bryan and I celebrate 20 years of marriage. Consider me a lucky girl to have been by my best friend’s side all this time.

Ted Anderson's family has asked me to share his story that I wrote. So many wonderful stories from so many people. For the emails, texts, interviews not fully included, I have shared all of them with the family. ksvype.com/ted-anderson-h…
