“Sic semper tyrannis” was screamed by the murderer as our nation’s greatest president bled from a bullet hole in his head. Hanging our Governor in effigy w/ that on his chest while daring him to come out of his home is inciting violence. This brings deep shame on our Commonwealth.

I want to lift up my governor in prayer today & ask you to join me. His job is always hard, but never more so than the last few days. Andy is a good man w/ a good heart, so I know this responsibility to keep us safe weighs on him especially heavily. We are w/ you @GovAndyBeshear.

Two weeks ‘til the Super Bowl, Kentucky legislature. That’s plenty of time to legalize sports betting so Kentuckians don’t have to cross borders to legally place a bet on the Bengals. Bets are going to be made, so let’s benefit from them. If you disagree, vote no. But let’s vote.

Looking for a failure of Kentucky policy? This Indiana hotel will be a monument to it.
Churchill Downs Inc. is proposing a new casino in Indiana, Queen of Terre Haute, with 1,000 slots, 50 table games, luxury hotel and sportsbook

Let’s use this as an opportunity for bipartisan cooperation. Here are some issues to start with: medical marijuana, infrastructure maintenance, sports gaming, college affordability, more apprenticeships & career opportunities, diversify energy options looking to future ... /1

I've spoken against every protest at elected officials' homes that I know of. Whether it is McConnell, Beshear, or Cameron, it is dangerous. But charging a felony w/ no threat is ridiculous & stretches the statute. Prosecute trespassers, but the felony charge should be removed.

A lot of Kentuckians are crossing state borders to bet on the college football national championship. I sure am glad we protect our citizens from sports betting.

Rep. Attica Scott & I disagree a lot; we agree some, too. So what? I’ve read numerous tweets attacking & laughing at Rep. Scott for testing positive for COVID. This nastiness, on both sides, is disgusting. Wish her health & a full recovery...or keep scrolling. Don’t be an ass.

Kentucky voters want to join the 34 states that have medical marijuana. Let’s let the patients and doctors decide.

I’m GOP, & I’m biased b/c we’re friends, but @Booker4KY is the real deal. He’s a man of great heart & action. When the Harlan miners blocked the tracks, I drove from Louisville to pay respect.Charles was the only other non-local to go to the tracks to show respect.Charles has mine.
I love Kentucky. That’s why I’m fighting back. No politics. No BS. No big money scheme. No secret agenda. Just love.

    Replying to @jmnemes
Protests sometimes cross lines of propriety and enter into a danger zone. That is to be expected in a democracy. But when they do cross that perilous line, community leaders must condemn it lest—by our silence—we assist in a violent step being taken the next time.

I went to Jefferson Square and talked with protesters. I thought it would be helpful to look these men and women in the eyes and listen to them. The conversation wasn’t always comfortable for any of us, but it was helpful to me.

It is too much to listen to Beshear act like he’s bipartisan. Beshear is THE MOST partisan person in Frankfort. In his 1st day in office he obliterated the Board of Education & appointed Democrats to all 12 spots, 8 of whom donated to his campaign. This guy has no truth in him.

I know one thing for sure: If the Democrats want a puncher’s chance to take out McConnell, they nominate Booker. If the national Democrats hadn’t rigged the election for McGrath, Booker would be running away with the primary.
