    In my mother's senior-living complex, which has all levels of care, an elderly couple opted to attended a family gathering. The couple got COVID-19. The center put guards outside their apartment to keep them quarantined. Both ended up in the hospital. One just died. This is real

    Missouri has legislative term limits. Made things worse. Big money calls the shots. Lawmakers pay less attention to public and more to the powerful people who can help them win their next office or cushy private job. Voters have less influence with term limits.

    1/On the Friday before Easter, a federal judge in Amarillo decided that Mifepristone, one of two key drugs used for medicated abortion, should be banned. This despite 20 years of data showing it’s safe and effective. Mifepristone has a lower rate of complications than Tylenol.
