It's not easy to bring together Democrats, Republicans, technology leaders, the @ACLU, the @nypl, and 67 mayors from across the US, but @AjitPaiFCC has managed to unite all these folks in opposition to his disastrous #NetNeutrality repeal.

In January, I’ll be returning to City Hall as the @CityOfBoston’s next Chief of Streets. I am honored and excited to be joining @MayorWu and her team as we work to build a safer, fairer, greener transportation system for Boston. 🧵
Excited to welcome @jfh as our new Chief of Streets! I’ve worked alongside Jascha & can’t wait to see his creativity, dedication & vision back at City Hall. From snow removal to bike lanes, better bus service to sustainable stormwater infrastructure—we have so much to do!

DO NOT DO THIS. If you are a business lucky enough to have a driveway, do not plow it into the path the sidewalk. It is illegal, dangerous, and we will cite you.

Bike lanes are basic transportation infrastructure.

What’s your definition of good transit? Mine is: Never feeling the need to sprint for the train/bus because I know another one is on the way.

Happy fare free bus day from the Route 29. Excited to be here for the start of this two-year pilot on three key routes in Boston.

Tonight the @CityofBoston is installing the first temporary bus lanes to support Orange Line shuttle riders, just 11 days after the @MBTA announced the shutdown. We’re marking around Copley Square now, and moving on to Government Center over the next few nights.

As a taxpayer, I'd like to install a bike corral on my block. Where can I get a free permit for that?
"Charging somebody who lives in the city of Boston, who pays taxes in the city of Boston ... for a parking sticker to park on their street, I just don't feel is fair," Mayor Marty Walsh said. to.wgbh.org/6018E5vIa

I had a nice bike ride into City Hall this morning and wanted to share a few thoughts on bike lanes and snow.🧵

Teamwork makes the dream work. Grateful to the @MBTA for keeping essential transportation running in Boston throughout the storm today.

We are building raised crosswalks here in Boston now too. These ones went in along Tremont in the South End last fall. More to come this year. This will become a regular part of our street design toolkit.
    via @NYTimes Wow, just wow - if NYC can do it (albeit v slowly) why not Boston? ⁦@MayorWu⁩ ⁦@BostonPWD⁩ ⁦@jfh⁩ ⁦@WalkBoston⁩ ⁦@StreetsBoston⁩ ⁦@walkuprozzie⁩ ⁦@bostonbikeunionnytimes.com/2022/03/02/nyr…

Amazing #OpenStreetsBoston on Blue Hill Ave today. Roxbury showed up despite in the heat. Each neighborhood is unique, but the feeling of joy and community is the same.

Streets are more than just a way to get from A to B. They can be a place for community, a place to connect, a place for joy. Grateful to all who made our very first neighborhood Open Streets event such a success today.

I am deeply saddened that a man riding a bike was killed by a truck in our city yesterday. My thoughts are with the victim's family, and also on the need for the City to do more to protect people on our streets.
