    I know so many have had it so much worse in all this. But the other day, my littlest, who has been relentlessly cheerful and resilient throughout the past year, let his lip quiver at breakfast and said out of the blue: "It's hard to have friends when they are all on a screen."

    Media are barred from attending in person at the board of trade event today where the Premier and his housing minister will unveil sweeping changes to planning rules. It's a ticketed event, sponsored by rental housing and real estate industry groups. It is being livestreamed.

    In one of those wild weird moments that hooked me on journalism for life, I was sent — with no notice, no time to prepare, no Google — to interview Archbishop Tutu when he turned up unannounced in a Toronto pub to watch a South Africa rugby game in 1999. I was 26.

    The Minister of Health of Ontario just falsely claimed that Dr. Williams makes his recommendations to cabinet public before a decision is made. He has explicitly and repeatedly refused to answer questions from me and others about what his recommendations are in advance. #onpoli
