How did it happen?

Iowa House Rep D38., Business Owner, Licensed & Ordained C&MA Pastor. I love thinking out loud with others, even those who disagree, just not the inappropriate.
- After watching the debate last night between Gov @RonDeSantis and Gov Gavin Newsom, I’m left with this question. Of all the Republican candidates, President Trump included, which could have done as well as DeSantis? I can’t see any other candidate effectively bringing the
- It’s really not that radical. I don’t want the government dictating, approving, or regulating religious expression. I would rather have an evil blasphemous display,or no display at all, than have the state dictate what they think is appropriate. I write that as a
- Replying to @shortmagsmleSuch a pathetic response. What a disappointment.
- My disappointment abounds as an American and as a Follower of Christ. I will not back down!!!! As a Follower of Christ, I will advocate for the building of Christ’s Kingdom through following His example of… - loving others - washing the feet of others (service) -Replying to @EndWokeness
- Replying to @EMTVmemesAs I continue to hear from Christians on the issue of the Satanic Temple display at the Iowa Capitol, I have found myself shocked at what I believe is a misunderstanding of basic Biblical concepts of the Kingdom of Jesus. • It is not a physical kingdom defined by boundaries and
- Replying to @ThomLatelyIf the government picks and chooses religious expressions, someday they will use it against Christian expressions. We are not a theocracy. I would rather have no displays than government selecting religions. The power of Christianity is Christ that lives in us. Not having
- I’m shocked you are willing to give up your freedom of religious expression to the government. I’m shocked you don’t believe in freedom of speech. The display offends me as a Christian. But I find your sacrifice of freedom for governmental control astounding. But ofThe lack of leadership in Iowa is stunning A Satanic ritual altar on full display in the State House And we see Republicans defending itReaders added contextIn 2019, The Satanic Temple officially was granted tax-exempt status by the IRS after President Trump signed a “religious freedom” executive order in 2017. rollingstone.com/culture/cultur… archive.ph/qFFci The display at the Iowa Capitol is protected under the first amendment of the United States Constitution. constitution.congress.gov/constitution/a…
- I am shocked by his words. I continue to be disappointed by President Trump.NEW: Trump says he will compromise with Democrats on abortion so that they’re nice to him: “Both sides are going to like me.” Then he says it’s “a terrible thing” babies with heartbeats are protected in Iowa, Florida, and South Carolina. @RonDeSantis will NEVER sell out
00:00 - Disgusting attacks from Roger Stone. Please get this out of our politics.Nothing says unhinged, recreational rage like attacking a mother for referencing her children. The minute we shrug off these attacks as the new normal, it will become the new normal. We should demand more from politicians and pundits alike. jonathanturley.org/2023/11/25/rog…

- Dear President Trump, polls are not elections, primaries, or caucuses. If they were, you would have lost your first election. Please trust the voters. The last thing we need is some unelected group deciding the nominee. I thought you were against such things!
- Replying to @SBryant79102He needed to help get the House and the Senate in Republican control. He didn’t…we lost control. He failed.
