- Whoa. β¦Uber Eats atβ© $52B run rate. $1B/week of GMV. I donβt think a model ever existed in the company that showed this being possible.
- I've long hated the CAC/LTV framework (particularly for consumer businesses). Because itβs so tied with creating a structural dependency on Google & Facebook it isnβt only a poor framework, it can lull you into mediocrity. My raw notes over the years of addressing this topic:
- Some news. Iβve decided to step down from my role @UberEats. I feel lucky to have been part of Eats, from the 1st order in Toronto in Dec '15 to one of the world's largest marketplaces. This success is a testament to the hard work of our team, and I'm honored to have played a part
- Yes! Iβm so excited to join @benchmark as a Venture Partner. I got to know the Benchmark team while building @UberEats & Iβve always been deeply impressed by their laser focus on helping with the big issues and smallest details alike.Thrilled to welcome β¦@benchmark'sβ© newest Venture Partner, Jason Droege: sarahtavel.medium.com/267104b4143a?sβ¦

- San Francisco will permanently cap food delivery fees thus protecting consumers permanently from lower prices
- 1 // Excited to announce Iβm joining @Scale_AI as Chief Strategy Officer. Scale really captured my imagination. The problems being tackled are fascinating, the people are passionate & the progress the company has made is absolutely incredible.
- The story of how Uber Eats got on track in 2015 is about the importance of being first & paranoia about how compounding can work for or against you. Iβve been out of the business for a while, but thought our thinking might be helpful to others (sorry, a little long) ->
- In 10 years France went from 55% -> 10% fossil fuel use with nuclear power filling the gap. Not sure what other technology could do this
- βWhat % of my portfolio should I put in a triceratops skull?β is not a question I thought Iβd ever ask myself but here we are @OnRallyRd
