Sprint mechanics📊 If all courts, fields & tracks had force plates & 3D📽providing force, velocity, kinematics etc easily, ALL coaches, physios, scientists would use such data (propulsive force magnitude, orientation...)✅ Even those who now claim it's useless, for sure.

One of my favorite for 👣& ankle: no device, short, intense, smooth but 😝...just try ✅ no skip/jump/contact with the other foot allowed, just "grasp" the ground ✅ 1🔄left then 1🔄right, then same on the other leg ✅ barefoot, hands on hips Easy ? try 3 or 5 turns in a row 😉🔥

New #drillsilike for sprinting - 40-50 kg or more elastic - start 🦶above knee - kick as hard as you can down⚡️💥 - hit&crush the ground - resist imbalance ⚖️ hold 5s+🧘🏼🔋 - reps for fatigue Et voilà ✅👌simple but harder than it seems (as always) 😅🤗

Why resisted sprint training is so important in ⚽️😅 Prepare for game demands 🙃 #BARPSG

#drillsilike Lumbopelvic control ⚡️ Some exercises seem to bring challenge-control but do not 🤔 Others do not seem to but 🥵🔥 Try this series, ⚠️ hold long enough (5-10s if needed) to induce challenge and prove control ✅ Master the basics first 👊⚖️ 👇👇👇

This is what happens when sport scientists and performance staff can't communicate 😉

#drillsilike 😍 2020: don't let your pelvic drop/control be your weakest link 🙅🏻‍♂️⛓ Kick, scissor and braking action on one side (⚠️no touch on the ground) + "fascia-like" action of the elastic ☞ major trunk-pelvic balance challenge✅ Icing on the🍰= glute-ham💥, reps 🎯 fatigue

Foot & ankle muscles are active contributors to human "propulsion" Sprint, jump, COD, etc...don't let them be your weakest link 🔗💪👣 Great new research here 👏 ✅🧐 ⏩ on to sport performance ?😍 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30655349 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30462568 royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rs…

🚨NEW PAPER🚨 Protocol for (really) individualized & multifactorial hamstring prevention in ⚽️, great PhD work by @lahti_johan 🔬 Still unresolved issue 💥 at the elite level, this contextualized approach will likely help push things further Open access: bmjopensem.bmj.com/content/6/1/e0…

Barbell Hip Thrust is a non-negotiable exercise for glute strength basis of sprint performance, imo. New study 👇✅ pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33332802/

    #drillsilike Today hip-trunk-pelvis-ankle-feet ⛓ combo ✅ max explosiveness 💥➡️ tip-toe support ✅ hold aligned-stable position 🦶💪😖 ✅ band on the iliac spines, add reps/resistance for fatigue 🔥 ⚗️et voilà 🎯
