- Today is @discord's 6th Birthday, but it’s been 9 years since I founded the company. After nearly a decade we’re just getting started. People are spending more and more time online and our goal is to make that time more fulfilling by creating space for people to find belonging.

For now we're focused on protecting users from spam, scams and fraud. Web3 has lots of good but also lots of problems we need to work through at our scale. More soon.

- Big news for developers today on Discord. We’ve opened up the developer preview for user installable apps as well as HTML5 experiences for apps. This dramatically changes what’s possible to build on Discord. I can’t wait to see what y’all come up with! discord.com/developers/doc…
- When we began building Discord in 2015 we had a hunch that one day people might use Discord to talk and hang out beyond just playing games together. Turns out, that’s what you all thought too. Today we’re making it official!

- What a year it’s been for @discordapp. To wrap it all up we just closed a new round of funding off the launch of our game store! Thanks to everyone who has supported us so far :)
- I am so hype for Discord Stages rolling out today on Desktop, iOS, AND Android. Now communities can easily host AMAs, Open mic night, debates, panels, and more.new type of voice channel just dropped. stage channels gives community servers better controls for audio-only events where some people can talk and others can listen as the audience.
