Eagle-eyed @numberphile viewer @LukeSumberg spotted we were about to reach a significant number of subscribers at the weekend and captured the exact moment. We now have over 1000000e subscribers.
I've been doing talks with university maths socs this week. I love it. Many students told me they grew up with @numberphile and are now studying maths. That was always the plan. Thank you for inviting me Bristol, Lancaster and Manchester.
The Bullseye Illusion: The blue centre is the same area as the blue rim.
It's also a demonstration of a Pythagorean triple. They have the same area because 5² = 13² - 12².
I really want to see a maths discovery centre in UK, but at the moment we have no permanent home. So if you know any friendly millionaires, let them know. (That's not a joke, that's what we need).
