Same thing every year 😩
They wonder why there’s a lack of high quality English managers. Maybe it’s because you don’t give coaches working up the ranks these opportunities.
For context I’m 27 but I’ve been coaching for over 13 years and senior football for 6 years with…

- Replying to @jackecoachingAmbitions to manage at a professional level. But what chance do you stand when year after year you get knocked back from these courses. Ex pro’s get on in a heartbeat and that’s fine but don’t ignore the rest of us who are actually better coaches than a lot of ex players.
- 12 months later with another year of experience and still the same outcome. I’ll say it again if you want young English coaches to be coaching at the highest levels then look further than just academies for talented individuals with passion to succeed.Same thing every year 😩 They wonder why there’s a lack of high quality English managers. - Received another unsuccessful application email for the A license from the FA. They say they prioritise coaches working in the professional game, forgetting coaches who put countless voluntary hours to have a chance at making it in the professional game. Honestly fed up of it
- Replying to @LloydOwersShocking mate isn’t it, same response from every nation too.
- Replying to @pythaginbootsThanks mate I appreciate that. For how hard a lot of coaches in the country work and a lot of the time for little to no money this is the kick in the teeth year after year when trying to progress.
- Replying to @MartynStevenso3Yes I started coaching when I was 14. Volunteered with a local U7 team as I had a passion for coaching whilst playing. I took an U14 team when I was 16. Age is just a number
- Replying to @terryflewersBasically priority for ex pro’s and people in the professional game. But we’ve seen that many ex pro’s aren’t good coaches and a lot of them get their badges and then don’t bother going any further.
- Delighted to be given the opportunity to manage this great club. Hard work starts now to make it a success 💪🏻𝐉𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐘 💚 We are delighted to confirm former @afcliverpool Asst Manager Jack Edwards as our new men’s First Team Manager. He is joined by Lee McConchie and current Pilks u23s asst-manager Nick Harland as his assistants.
- I can’t believe I’m hearing of coaches charging upwards of £120 an hour for a session 🤯 How is a player who’s coming in to develop and enhance their ability able to afford that on a weekly basis. Don’t be fooled by Instagram videos and a 4G into paying that amount of money!
- New chapter up and running @AFCLiverpool Hoping to carry on the fantastic job @IamMattPotter has done so far, can’t thank him and the club enough for the giving me the opportunity to be involved.
- Replying to @trundle_anthonyI think anywhere outside of the UK is cheaper. The demand here is massive for A, B, C licence but they don’t seem to care
- Replying to @Ryan_FMTeacherPrice for the C here is price for the A abroad. Absurd mate. Keep going
- Asif the fella from the bread shop is on come dine with me Hahahahahaha
