- Today the far right came to Ipswich. They sought to sow division and spread their hate. Instead, people in the town united, stood up to their bigotry and said: 'this is not who we are'. Ipswich is a welcoming, diverse and inclusive town and hope will always defeat hatred.
- The dust has barely settled on a hard-fought election campaign, but we're hitting the ground running. People desperately need change, so there is no time to waste. It's a privilege to serve the people of Ipswich and I've got to work immediately. In 'the office' and ready to go.
