I think the major reason why people feel overwhelmed, constantly tired out, out of time, etc. is simply because they're doing stuff by themselves when historically people did stuff with their family and local community. Like yeah there is a major skill issue where people zombie

I have this general idea that being slightly too arrogant is better than being too passive, because by being arrogant you expose yourself to real feedback, whereas by being passive you just sit in your corner, and become more and more scared as the years go by.

a hiking group, running partners, etc. And of course this limitation in imagination trickles down into something way bigger than the individual life, it coalesces into the limited collective life we imagine, but even on the micro life it's incredibly noticeable.

It seems to me that the 2 main bottlenecks in life are: 1) A lack of courage 2) A lack of a supportive environment (so friends and family, as well as an environment that supports your creative output for instance) And I wonder how many problems are either masked versions of those

if you can't make good art, the practice of art still makes you much better at observing things. I've found a newfound appreciation for "mundane" things because I'm much better at looking at fine details and getting a big picture of what I'm seeing. Care is very important,
