    France is mandating work from home starting on January 3rd. The Netherlands is on lockdown, and so is most of the UK due to omicron. But here in the US we're throwing the doors open to just about everything. It's going to be quite a January.

    Of all the things so far, the shutting down of PREP worldwide today (PEPFAR) could be the most catastrophic. It ends access to life-saving HIV prevention drugs to millions across the Global South, halting a program that’s saved 25 million lives.

    When I accepted my @NABJ Journalist of Distinction Award in 2022, I said that we have to resist our training which says that the truth always has two sides. Platforming Donald Trump at a professional event today doesn’t show even-handedness. It shows how democracies die.

    . @bet pulled my ad at the last minute last night from the #BETAwards. It’s hard to conclude anything other than that the platform is transphobic as @angelicaross & @lovebscott unfailingly point out. @citeblackwomen intentional invisibility is why our thoughts aren’t heard.

    The more I delve into anti-trans hate the more I realize that what’s happening to transgender people is literally just a “road test” for a wider Christian Nationalist authoritarian agenda. I appreciate @AliVelshi creating space for this deeper conversation on @MSNBC.
