- Let me tell you as a graduate of Yale and Harvard: There were plenty of high functioning academically successful & violent binge drinkers there.
- Nail salons generously donating gloves and masks to hospitals while global corporations panic over losing profits and disregard workers. This world...
- The Court has NO enforcement power. All of my race and legal history students learn this at the beginning of the term, meaning their power is *only* effectuated through the other branches.
- Also... Aretha had 2 children by the time she was 14 years old, dropped out of high school her sophomore year and made it through alcoholism & domestic violence. Genius often (usually) doesn’t look like they say it does. It’s so much vaster and more beautiful than the image.
- My advice: Share the work you find beautiful and meaningful more often than you announce your rejection of the work you dislike.
- You can work yourself to an early grave for people who wouldn't pause to say a 10 second prayer after you're gone. Be deliberate with your energy, love and attention. Remember who and what matters. That's my birthday wisdom.
- I'm not sure how anyone watching this debate, regardless of your politics, can deny that Sanders is far more knowledgable and thoughtful than Biden is about the relationship between policy-making and daily living.
