    The IBCA is deeply saddened by the passing of Fremd HS Girls Coach Dave Yates. An outstanding coach throughout his storied career, Dave was inducted into the IBCA Hall of Fame this year. An amazing husband, father and mentor to so many, Coach Yates will be greatly missed! 🙏🙏

    We would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of IBCA Hall of Famer and St. Joseph basketball coach Gene Pingatore. He’s the all-time winningest coach in our state and touched countless lives. His passing leaves a big void in the coaching community.

    The IBCA had a special moment before the start of the 1-2 Boys All Star game to honor the memory of Prairie Central first team all stater, Dylan Bazzell. Dylan was an All Star and lived his life in a way that truly honored God, family, and our great game. God bless, Dylan!!
