everyone is like “omg teach your boys to clean” when the gag is—she probably did? y’all are ignoring the fact that boys learn to disrespect women by disrespecting their mothers first.
this is horrid.
based on reported symptoms, i am about 80% sure that the chemical these students were attacked with contained a high concentration of malathion.
it is essentially poisonous. these students need justice.
Thread 🧵:
139 hours since i was sprayed with skunk on campus: my period cramps are so bad i almost passed out. my endometriosis is definitely worse, i’m pretty sure this stuff is an endocrine disruptor.
like it’s hard to conceptualize sometimes but at some point in their lives, young boys are no longer raised by parents but by other men. they emulate other men’s behaviors to assimilate in their most vulnerable years fr like
Malathion is a foul-smelling insecticide typically used to kill insects who eat fruit and plants. It is also highly toxic to humans in high concentrations. I BELIEVE that this is one of the main ingredients in Skunk water for several reasons.
All of this is to say, Columbia students were factually attached and very likely POISONED by members of a foreign military, and no one but campus publications talked about it until 2 days ago. THIS should call for a congressional hearing.
Reason 1)
Odortec, the firm who created skunk water was founded by managers of an insecticide company. As I just stated, malathion is a foul-smelling insecticide.

In this article, the author makes a point about how Israel and its supporters have often dehumanized Palestinian people by referring to them as “insects.”
Reason 2)
Malathion has a foul smell and causes a plethora of symptoms and health issues when people are exposed to it in high concentrations. Malathion itself is known to have a “skunk-like” or “garlic-like” odor. Skunk itself smells of sewage, but this could be b/c it—
is made of malathion AND amino acids, causing a sewage odor. Malathion exposure also shares some of the same SPECIFIC reported symptoms of Skunk exposure, including nausea, rapid heart rate, dizziness, and eye/throat irritation.

Here are some side-by-sides of malathion exposure and Skunk exposure. They are very similar: students sprayed by Skunk also reported rapid heart rate as a symptom. (Check @ColumbiaSJP’s) Instagram).
