Unpopular opinion but if a trainee asks you a simple medical question that you can answer in 2 min during rounds plz don’t ask them to look it up themselves when you have the needed information at your immediate disposal. It’s both discouraging and inefficient. Agree? Disagree?

Believe it or not chatting w/ med students is not a taboo nor will it kill u. Incoming interns plz acknowledge your med students, say hi if they’re sitting alone, say good morning if you come in early & they’re the 1st to show up, make them feel they’re part of team bcz they are.

If your stable patient is asleep during pre-rounds, please don’t wake them up. Deep sleep is a very rare precious commodity during hospitalization, let them have it.
