- So a family physician friend of mine spent part of her Friday looking up treatment algorithms for what happens when a child from a daycare with a ?rubella outbreak comes home with a rash to a mom who is pregnant with another child. Yes, this is in Saskatchewan. In 2024. 1/

- Replying to @hinz_tamaraThis wasn’t a standard part of our medical education because we aren’t supposed to be facing the ravages of vaccine preventable diseases anymore. The outcomes of a fetus contracting rubella can be so catastrophic, sometimes a termination is required. 2/3
- A hill I will die on: teens get to decide when they are too old to do Halloween. I don’t care how old you are: if you show up in a costume and say trick or treat, you get candy. Kids are asked to grow up so fast in so many ways; let them hold onto this one aspect of childhood.
- Parenting in a pandemic is exhausting because every decision feels high stakes and no matter what you decide to do the answer feels wrong.
