In order of excitement from Flick's 30 player list.
1) Dro Fernández - may not play many minutes, but he's on the plane for a reason. Hopefully Culers get to see why
2) Bernal - Have to be patient with him, but it'll be great to have him back
3) Bardghji - Welcome to Barcelona

- 3 years ago Raphinha was a 25yo bottom-half EPL RW. Today he's a 28yo LW Ballon d'Or candidate. Anyone who tells you they know what Nico Williams will be 3 years from now as a 25yo at Barcelona is lying.
- This is Gavi's world. Both the assist and the goal came from his non-dominant left foot. Look at how lost he was as the LW last season under Xavi and look at him today. That's the progress Culers shouldn't take for granted
- I trust Sergi Roberto more than I trust Marcos Alonso. There, I said it
- Fermin is 20 so he gets lost in the youth discourse some. But his response in his last three matches since the Athletic Club stinker have been career-making
- How did Barça look like they had an extra man against Celta when it was the other way around? Frenkie de Jong. Even with an extra man, Celta could not play through the middle b/c his positioning was near-perfect. Can’t think of a misplayed ball either. 10/10 from him.
- This picture of Iniesta helps explain to people the connection we feel with certain athletes. Some of them love the club as much and more than we do. The idea that this moment won’t exist for Messi is one I’m having trouble wrapping my mind around.
- In a span of a few months in 2020 Barça lost to Bayern 8-2 and saw the GOAT leave the club. I thought about stopping the podcast when half the audience left. This week Barça put 4 past both Bayern and Madrid. Glad I kept with it
- If I was Deco and assuming Barcelona can afford it, my dream signings for the next two summers would be: 2025: - Joan Garcia - Luis Diaz - Promote Jofre Torrents and Toni Fernandez 2026: - Miguel Gutierrez - Julian Alvarez - Promote Landry Farre, Guillermo, & Tunkara?
- Usually don't talk about refereeing decisions - hoping my credibility is in my silence. Dumfries fouled Martín on the 3rd goal. Bastoni brought down LY in the 50th min. Barça should have hung on. Inter won the tie because they scored more goals. But I got a bad taste in my mouth
- Pau Cubarsí is rightly the talking point after Getafe. de Jong and Raphinha also really good. For all the discussion about Madrid's wage limit compared to Barça's, La Masia providing cheap starters/depth is the only way that Barça can still compete.
- 32nd Copa del Rey for Barcelona. Historically this is their competition. But history didn't win that match. The belief that Hansi Flick has instilled in this side is what did. They fought until the final whistle and that won it.
- So have Barça played well because they won or is Xavi's whole project still in complete shambles because teams who play 5 at the back have figured them out? Maybe give Benitez and Celta some credit for getting it right. And then give Xavi some credit for solving the problems
- Iñaki Peña and Balde both really raising their games in the second half. Madrid's press lost some of its legs and de Jong was the perfect choice to calm the team down in that space
