Impossible for the UFC to do. They would need to use 4% of their revenue and lose 6.5% of their EBITDA to accomplish that.

Diaz signed a 2 year personal service agreement that commenced at ufc 196 and 6 years later he can only get out of if he fights the #2 170lber in the world. That seems a little one-sided if you ask me.

One thing to keep in mind is that Thompson is not just not getting paid, he's losing money on this. He pays for his coaches, equipment, the ticket for the extra cornerman to the event. He even wore the fit kits & signed all their merch for free now, so he's in the hole on this.
