£14.95 to watch a game on pay per view is disgraceful. £5, ok, but £14.95? It's disgusting. At a time when PL clubs spent £1.2bn on players. When they'll give agents £200m. When so many families are struggling. The creed of greed is in @premierleague DNA but this truly stinks.

- If Marcus Rashford did just “stick to football”, as some small-minded people currently tell him, then there would be countless kids in this country going hungry. Rashford’s an exceptional footballer, dedicated to his profession, and also a 22-year-old with a social conscience. 🙌
- Virgil van Dijk, PFA Player of the Year, imperious Liverpool footballer, European champion, role model, class act on and off the field, supporter of the Red Cross, paid for Christmas party at Anfield for 120 kids suffering from cancer, is being booed by England fans #NEDENG
- Klopp’s brought so much joy and excitement to English football with his passion, energy and the excellence of his #lfc teams. His champions are vulnerable, the title is gone. His mother’s just passed away. Klopp’s allowed to be emotional. He deserves some slack and some respect.
- Pele, Maradona, Messi. The three greatest footballers of all time. The only thing up for debate is the order.
- VAR will not work properly in @premierleague until the quality of the officials is improved. Inconsistency over the 2 #ARSMCI penalties, both were pens, only 1 given. Frustrates fans, players. Ruins game. Some good refs but overall quality not good enough for an elite competition
- Jadon Sancho, Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford being racially abused on social media. And this is why #ENG players will continue to take a knee. Also, Twitter and Instagram have to be quicker and stronger to stop these hate crimes on their platforms.
- Judging by messages I’m getting @BBCMOTD in meltdown. Any presenter who agrees to replace @GaryLineker tomorrow night will be tainted as effectively a political appointment. Ditto any pundit.
- Harry Maguire went at dusk to the Munich Memorial in Manchesterplatz on Sunday evening. Just him with an FA official. #mufc captain wanted to go when it was quieter and spent 30 minutes absorbing the site and paying his respects.
- If @FA charges Vieira for defending himself then it's even more out of touch than perceived. Vieira's trying to leave the field, the abusive fan had no right to be there. FA has to stand up to abusive pitch invaders or the problem worsens. Managers and players must be protected.
- Mathijs de Ligt appreciation post. Made his Netherlands debut at 17, captained Ajax at 18, won title. Rated so highly as a defender that Juventus paid £67m for him at 19, won title, Bayern Munich paid £65m for him, won title. Mistakes at Juventus and injuries at Bayern slowed
- Gary Lineker has brought more pride and joy to this country than most politicians and the BBC hierarchy, if not all. He has a conscience and a platform. He does not present a news programme on the BBC, is not a full-time employee, did not express his view on his BBC show… 1/2
