I tried to cancel an LA fitness membership in 2020. I am still a member 3 years later because they took me through hoops to cancel. It's interesting how gyms and Pilate studios make it easy to sign up online or in an app but impossible to cancel. This should be illegal

Unpopular opinion but doctors prescribing young women birth control for period pain without diagnosing the root cause should be malpractice

Greatest lesson I've learned this year is you can't have one foot in your old life and one foot in your new life and expect change. You have to fully commit to the new life

Months ago, I tweeted about going to get a mole removed and the doctor (a older white male) told me I was bored and to go get my nails done. (I wish I was lying) Went to a black dermatologist yesterday to look at it, they shaved it off immediately and sent it for biopsy.

The earlier you wake up, the more time it feels you have in a day. First few hours while the world is quiet can be used for working out, eating breakfast, meditating, journaling or writing out goal list. Get a head start on work. Whole day accomplished by noon.

Jesus! When you start nearing late 30s and 40s and everyone around you has fibroids, pCOS, etc and the doctors only answers for years has been birth control then hysterectomy, you have no choice but to come on these platforms shaking the table. This is a silent epidemic

The pandemic did not sit us all down and give us a come to Jesus moment for us to go back to chaotic, exhausting lives

I'm very cautious about who has access to me lately. And it's not out of arrogance, it's out of the need to continue to protect my space and energy as I continue to do the work to elevate myself. This chapter requires me to be a little less accessible.

I remember asking his two medical assistants, is he like this with all his patients and they kind of rolled their eyes like that's his thing. And I get the jokes but I just wasted my time coming to your office just for you to brush me off. Moles can be cancerous

She wasn't specifically talking about black women who were using the sound as much as she was referring to white women who had started using it (which is why she used the marginalized communities reference)
