    Getting ready for xmas+found this photo, taken by my old HoD, capturing when I finished my first term of teaching. I was so exhausted that when the last lesson ended I sat down and next thing I know...sparko! Wishing everyone in schools a wonderful+ thoroughly deserved xmas rest!

    We know many students, teachers, parents (now!) and schools are relying on HegartyMaths. We care deeply. We will continue to do EVERYTHING we can to ensure kids can learn on our system at this difficult time. It's our number one priority.

    UPDATE: Today HegartyMaths held up much better despite being nearly twice as busy as yesterday when it struggled. Huge praise to my wonderful @HegartyTeam who are still on the case all night and ridic early tomorrow to ensure our system can support you for tomorrow and beyond.

    We've had unprecedented traffic this morning on HegartyMaths and we know it's having trouble coping. The @HegartyTeam are on the case and spinning up several new app servers right now to help.

    UPDATE: Normal HegartyMaths day: 200,000 sessions, yesterday nearly 800,000! We've made lots of extra changes yesterday + overnight. We're monitoring the platform really closely to ensure we can support all those schools and students. Good luck today!

    UPDATE: We've managed to ensure HegartyMaths is no longer timing out with errors despite the tremendous load. Students should now be able to do their work + use videos but it may still be slower than normal. We are closely monitoring this situation as it is our main priority.

    UPDATE: We've upped our number of servers from 4 to 18 but this still hasn't resolved the unbelievable traffic. You may still be experiencing issues. The @HegartyTeam are still on it full-time to see what we can do. Please bear with us as we try everything we can think of.

    We're billionaires! We've been so busy over the last few months that we didn't even spot this...Students have answered way over 1 billion Qs on HegartyMaths (this actually happened before lockdown in March). We're so proud to support all the HegartyMaths teachers and students!

    So unbelievably proud that, despite challenges with HegartyMaths Mon-Wed, over half a million kids still managed to learn maths. Today, Hegarty was back to it's best so the stats for today will be through the roof when I check at midnight! #hegartymaths #HomeLearningUK #proud

    OK, so the Y6/7 transition packs were soooooo popular, that I was thinking of asking the unbelievable content design team @SparxMaths to create a booklet/course to support for y11/12 transition (i.e. getting ready for AS). If a good idea, RT this to sigal "yes please I want one"
