Tyler Rogers is the only MLB pitcher with an average release height under two feet. The focus of my off-season training has been lowering my own release point from roughly three feet to Rogers-range, but twelve years using the same slot has grooved an extremely deep attractor

Can’t believe @JeffPassan wasn’t on the Hejka for a bag of balls trade first smh
The Phillies have acquired RHP Josh Hejka from the New York Mets in exchange for Cash Considerations.

A TOP THE HEJ-ES! 👑 Not only did Josh Hejka (@hedgertronic) pick up the save in Sunday’s home victory, but he broke a tie with Hunter Parsons for the most pitching appearances (48) in franchise history! #AmazinStartsHere | #LGM

Cash considerations gets the deal over the finish line
Pete Alonso's deal with the New York Mets, which is pending physical, is for two years and includes an opt-out after the first season. He'll make $30 million this year.

Mets submarine specialist Josh Hejka tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings with three strikeouts last night for Double-A Binghamton. Hejka has 13 strikeouts in 9 1/3 scoreless innings this season. Here’s his rising slider.

Everyone should get the idea after the first couple pitches, definitely no need to watch to the end
Here is a full AB from last season with the pitch clock. Much better pace than yesterday's rush

.@JoshHejka leads the Mets minor leagues with a 0.42 ERA. His rising slider is a big reason why. Rather than forcing a slider that just moved laterally, his Pitch Design with @LanginTots13 focused on adding rise ⬆️ while maintaining sweep.

Last week in the bullpen, @bensimon22 and I came up with a new ERA variant that accounts for inherited/bequeathed runners. Is it groundbreaking? Probably not. Is it better than FIP/other advanced metrics? Unlikely. Does it have a good name? Also no. Alas, a 🧵:
