- We did try to pay homage to legacy of #ultraman transitions. This shot was handcrafted by the @ilmvfx Singapore team. Special mention to the animation and motion corrective teams on getting the posing absolutely perfect for Ken's transformation. #UltramanRising #Netflix #vfxthe animation on this iconic transformation was clearly made with love. look at how the frames change every second, it reminds me of the old ultraman transitions, and you can see how colorful they look each frame is just stunning i jumped from my seat
- Rosy was such a fun character to bring to life. On display here is not only the amazing work of the @ILMVFX asset and groom artists, but the beautiful performances created by the London and Vancouver animation teams. - This sequence was put together by the @ILMVFX London team. Under the great eye of animation supervisor Mathieu Vig, we got to play with the look and feel of the shots. Culminating in a full on Manga inspired moment, which is a huge collab between the lighting and comp teamsJust... Just look at this. This kind of expressive, bold, stylish animation permeates the film, in moments big and small. When I say Ultraman Rising is stunning, this is what I mean!
