    Breaking. Some Jews in ancient times committed idolatry. Big if true.
    The so-called “Passover papyrus” (419 BCE) opens with a greeting invoking “the gods” (אלהיא). Years later (257 BCE), a letter sent by another Judean (CPJ 4) opens with the phrase “many thanks to the gods (πολλὴ χάρις τοῖς θεοῖς)”. Some "monotheism" I'd say.
