This letter in the Indo today is quite something….wouldn’t you love to hear his wife’s version of this story!

Delighted to say I have a new role @businessposthq: deputy editor/managing editor. Busy times ahead but exciting times too, with a great bunch of colleagues who I hope to see again in person soon!

No prizes for guessing how I’m voting. This illegitimate child of a girl sent away to conceal her shame 44 years ago never thought she’d see this day #Repealthe8th

Passed one place in Greystones selling 'farm fresh' Christmas trees. Then another up the road offering 'organic' ones. The gluten-free one can't be far behind #notions 🙄🙄

I'm delighted to say I've been appointed editor of @foodandwineIE. I'll be continuing in my role as managing editor of @businessposthq, so am looking forward to a busy but hopefully fun 2020!

I’m all for canvassing a wide variety of opinions, but I’m genuinely confused as to why a financial adviser is on the radio talking about COVID. By that logic, I’ll be on shortly giving my expert view on brain surgery

We are heartbroken at the loss of Tomás Clancy. A gentleman, and the best colleague you could ask for. We will miss him so much businesspost.ie/27913ca8?utm_s…

Can everyone posting ‘healthy’ pancake recipes naff off please and stop sucking every bit of joy out of food. It’s once a year, for goodness sake! #thanksinadvance

That’s quite the ad on the back of the Irish Times

Thank you to everyone who shared their memories of Tomas; he truly was one of a kind ❤️❤️ businesspost.ie/9c932497?utm_s…

My favourite line by far in that Bruce Arnold/Telegraph piece: "Whatever faults the British may have, they understand independence and freedom" 🤔🤔🤔

Too many seats, not enough customers, Vat going up, Brexit worries: I hope I'm wrong but I think the first half of 2019 could be really awful for Dublin restaurants. More important than ever to support independent operators and stop the capital becoming bland and samey.
