I wish we would put this effort into books about queer identity or black hair care being banned irl but yall focus on some random twitter users being criticized for the shit they draw
Protect queer art. ALL queer art.
"This doesn't include..." Oh my god, shut the fuck up. Yes, it does. No, I don't care what you were about to say it doesn't include. YES, IT DOES. That is, in fact, the point.
No, people on twitter complaining about others writing fics about incest is not on the level of government censorship that queer people, black people and other marginalized identities are facing at this moment
I think yall need to realize art and fiction does impact people hate speech in art is the same as spoken hate speech and should be taken care of the same, we can't protect queer artists if we're willing to let them be harmed by bigots "art"
I would go one step further. Protect all art made by people. Even if it's offensive, even if it's hateful, even if it's disgusting. We do not learn from our mistakes by shoving it away, we learn by acknowledging it.
Can it coexist that artists are allowed to be disappointed with the lack of traction from time to time, and that worrying about likes excessively can cause issues to your health and creative process.
I think you guys need to stop worrying about likes on the internet now because it will genuinely mess up your mental health and creative process all together.
"thats a problem only on tiktok" well no, Palestinians were banned from flying their own flag bc of isntrael and they used the watermelon as a symbol and still do idk why you're policing a Palestinian on a subject that directly affects them
