    Men in mainstream media beating down one of the best footy minds we've had the privilege of hearing from on a regular basis isn’t just designed to diminish her voice, but scare away all the other women and diverse people who aspire to be in that seat.

    Daisy Pearce and Erin Phillips represent two very different, but equally worthy versions of women in footy pre-AFLW. Erin pursued other sports after being told no, Daisy raised the standard of the then-VWFL to force the AFL’s hand. Two outstanding people who I am grateful for.
