On behalf of Nishnawbe Aski Nation, I want to acknowledge the leadership of ⁦@JustinTrudeau⁩. Even though we didn’t agree on everything, we worked together when times were tough- particularly during COVID to keep our communities safe. Miigwetch Justin. I wish you well.

This pic is from St Anne’s Indian Residential School in Fort Albany. In the basement was an electric chair that was used to terrorize children. Many of the survivors are still trying to access their records in order to settle their case. ⁦@Pontifex⁩, you have these records.

After much reflection and in consultation with family and Elders, I have decided to support RoseAnne Archibald as the next national Chief in recognition of how important it is that a woman lead in the current circumstances. I encourage those who voted for me to support her.

Where is the army? the water cannons? The batons? The rubber bullets? The guard dogs? Snipers on the roof? Oh that’s right. Those are only for #Indigenous land and rights defenders. ⁦@JustinTrudeau⁩ ⁦@fordnation⁩ You need to end this now.

My mom, Eunice Fiddler made these beautiful mukluks in 1974. A nurse bought them from her. I bought them back from her today. I showed them to my mom and recognized them right away. She told me exactly how she made them. I will treasure them for a long time. #ChristmasGift

As long as Canada continues to allow racists in their institutions and throws out those who call them out, nothing will change. Miigwetch @theJagmeetSingh for your courage today. We are with you.
Visibly emotional, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh explains what happened in the House today when he was removed after refusing to apologize for calling a Bloc MP racist. #cdnpoli #ctvpp More: ctvnews.ca/politics/singh…

This is my mom. The one who has held me & kept me safe. And she is still looking out for me & for all of us in our community by being one of the first in NAN to roll up her sleeve & get vaccinated against #COVID19. This is how we will end this pandemic. slmhc.on.ca/first-covid-19…
