At far right, as a captain with my S-2 shop in the 1st Battalion, 23rd Mech Infantry Regiment @2INFDIV out of Fort Lewis. Yeah, a few days ago. #GoArmy

This is pretty awesome. The Astros bullpen catcher who got the ball Cal Raleigh hit for home run number 57 to break Ken Griffey Jr.’s Mariners record for a season hands Raleigh the ball for him to keep after the M’s beat his team in a huge game. 🫡

OK, how sweet is this? An emotional Eugenio Suarez’ introducing his gals. He has people crying in this Mariners postgame session. Says this, 2 HRs, GW grand slam, is the game he’s waited his whole life for. Calls it his most emotional single game. “Seattle really deserved this”

Geno Smith on his contract ending: “I want to finish my career in Seattle…they embraced me. I want to repay them for that.” His eyes were moist. #Seahawks

By the way: Credit to home-plate umpire Sean Barber here. This is leading off a half-inning. Yet he brushes off the plate that didn't need brushing, walked a new ball out to the pitcher, to extend Suarez's welcome-back moment with M's fans. Ball players notice and appreciate.
Standing ovation for Eugenio Suarez for his first at-bat in his Mariners return. He tips his batting helmet to the crowd. ⁦@thenewstribune

Another reason to like Bobby Wagner: “I never put mayo on anything. Mayo is disgusting.”

Nobody wants to hear this now, but Russell Wilson did more than win for the Seahawks. He impacted life in Seattle. The kids and staff at @seattlechildren have Blue Tuesdays instead of Blue Friday, because Wilson visited the sickest of the sick there every week for a decade.

Marshawn Lynch postgame, season- ending comments are to young players “Take care of y’all chicken” #Seahawks @thenewstribune

“Anarchists!” Seattle is doomed! Stoop this immediately! My teens were at a protest today blocks from here. 1000s. No police. All peace. Don’t believe the ignorant. Don’t believe the immoral. Especially don’t believe the ignorantly, immorally desperate. Be well. Be empathetic.

For the second night in a row, a movie is played on a projector at 12/E Pine. Tonight, it’s “Paris Is Burning.” A block down, a flute and speaker driven dance. And a vigil continues to grow. We’ll have a live report coming up at 11 #KOMONews

Pete Carroll: “Black people know the truth. They know exactly what is going on. White people don’t know. “This is a white-people issue to get over...maybe there’s a new door to walk through, to do what’s right. And what’s right is to treat people equally.” #Seahawks

Asked Pro Bowl DE Michael Bennett why he skips #Seahawks voluntary offseason workouts such as OTAs. His answer is sublime #getsit #DadQuotes

Future Hall of Fame RB Adrian Peterson, 36, on his one game, about a month and a half with Seahawks: “Probably the best experience I’ve had, from ownership down to…the cafeteria. Great people.” Said Rashaad Penny “didn’t shy away” from asking for his advice. “Just a blessing”

#Huskies coach Kalen DeBoer casually waiting alone for Oregon quarterback Bo Nix to finish his post-Pac-12 title press conference. Classy DeBoer was nodding his quiet approval of Nix’s comments about overcoming adversity in his college career, and his faith.
