The man ahead of me in the NHS hospital clinic reception queue cannot understand the question "Date of birth?" I'm standing waiting behind him while he calls someone who can speak English. The receptionist has poor English too. This is absolutely insane.

Apparently this awful security queue for the National Gallery is now permanent. I used to just walk up the steps and in. Just Stop Oil madness means this is just the future we are a living in. Wonders of no longer living in a high trust society.

How and when did the behavioural shift towards playing music out loud in public on devices happen? It used to be completely unacceptable, now it happens on 100% of the buses or tubes I take. What changed?

Every single bus I get on now has people using their phone on loudspeaker. 100%. This wasn't true two years ago. How does a society restore unspoken, shared community standards? Are there any examples of it being achieved?

Bought by my parents (fireman and teacher) for £116K in 1997. The current owner sold it in July for £765K. Since 1997, the house price to wage ratio has rocketed. No amount of “life style adjustment” can hide this erosion of the lower middle class - see attached graph.

Starmer isn't denying the reality or scale of the rape gang scandal. What he's saying is worse than that. He's saying that keeping a lid on the crimes is the *lesser of 2 evils* - because the threat of the "far right" is a bigger problem. He thinks keeping it quiet is justified.

This is really something. Boris basically saying the treasury pushed for what has become known as the ‘Boriswave’ because of inflationary wage pressures. In other words, net migration of 900k in one year to stop wage growth. x.com/60sJapanfan/st…

Dan - this is ludicrous. People who came to the UK lawfully have to leave *all the time* Visas come to an end (e.g. student visas or an employer stops sponsoring) People fail to comply with visa terms (e.g. salary threshold) They commit a crime Migration status isn't a right

So can we just be clear. We’ve now reached the point where Tory frontbenchers like Katie Lam - not Tommy Robinson, not Nick Griffen - are openly advocating the deportation of LEGAL migrants on the grounds we need to assert cultural purity. It’s utter insanity.
