George Strait, Parker McCollum and Catie Offerman set some records tonight down in Aggieland. 110,905 in attendance at Kyle Field. That’s a new record crowd for a ticketed concert in the US, previously held by The Grateful Dead who had 107,019 fans in attendance at a 1977 show.

Jerry Jeff Walker has passed away at the age of 78. Shook. This is a monumental loss. More to come in the coming days with articles, playlists, tributes and memorials. Thoughts and prayers to Susan, Django and the entire Walker/Gonzo family. #RIPJerryJeff

Kylie Rae Harris has gone to sing with the angels. She was quintessentially Texan. Talented. Brash. Fun. Passionate. Beautiful. Our hearts are broken.

64 years ago this week at a joint called the Cotton Club in Lubbock, some guy named Elvis played a gig that had an unknown local opener named Buddy Holly. THAT is Texas Music history friends.
