it's been a few months now in which groups of photographers have been working non-stop to establish and push forward photography in the NFT space and it's amazing to see a growing audience acknowledging the hard work and taking the medium seriously. there's no turning back now.

Photography NFTs shifting from "what we like to see" to "the way we live" and eventually a lot more to "how we feel". That kind of human connections that can be made through photography is what gives the medium so much value as art. We get to know each other through photography.

extremely excited to have 2 auctions kicked off by @jeffexcell, a collector whose curatorial eye I really appreciate and respect! I'm truly thankful for your support on my work that allows me to keep building in this space full time 🖤 A/A: foundation.app/@a-abyfernando…

We've been seeing some great art photographers and institutions coming to the NFT space lately and we'll soon se a lot more, that's because the space just makes sense for photography. You can expect us to explore it deeply in the next few months both formally and conceptually.

The thing I like the most about this rising interest for photography in the NFT space is not the explosive bursts of photography collecting but the way people are getting really interested in re-thinking the way they understand photography as an art.

The dust settles on photo NFT twitter, as things slow down and artists realize that sales don't happen magically, photographer's twitter profiles become more like open studios than commercial galleries. A great way to have a glimpse into the process and thinking of the artists.

With serious art photography on its way to being consolidated in the NFTspace, the urge to flip photographs seems to have dissipated almost completely for photography collectors. This can only be good for the medium and surely will bring a steady boost in photography acquisitions.

To, lastly, A/A: foundation.app/@a-abyfernando… A project in which I use @withFND to create a very concise narrative, limited by a fragment of a W.H. Auden poem that's read letter by letter in the title of each image, a more traditional approach to a documentary style photo-work. (7/10)
