- NEWS: GOP Rep. Will Hurd told me today that he now doesn't know whether he'll vote for Trump this fall. When asked about delaying the election, he said: "We are not an authoritarian government." And on whether the country is doing a good job combatting COVID, he said: "No."
- RNC dispatch: I was sitting in the bowl last night & the woman to my right turned in dismay to let me know that the secret service was whiting out all her photos & videos She handed me her phone & I showed her that she had put a business card in her case covering the lens ❤️

- This framing is weird. The situation the Times is describing is one in which a democratically elected leader rejects the results of a democratic election. That isn't so much a doomsday scenario for a political party as an existential threat to the foundation of American gov.
